“As one of the last remaining artisans in her field, drawing upon her family’s generational experience as master craftsmen, visiting her in her studio was a door into another world – where bespoke ideas are cut, stitched and carved into being by hand….the boots she made for me should probably be in a museum…”
Aimee Mullins
Each design is thoroughly researched to reflect a client’s personality, translating the story into works of art that have provenance and special meaning to the wearer.
Lasts (form over which shoe is constructed) are made specifically to the client’s measurements and nuances of style, rather than a standard size. Every heel is carved individually for each last and client, generally carved from beechwood and then covered with leather or embroidered or otherwise decorated covers.
